Welcome to the SS Fawkes, a Star Trek based simulation, or writing environment, attached to Obsidian Fleet's Task Force 47-B.

This sim is played through the Nova play-by-web system. The sim is currently rated 13+, and as such members must be at least thirteen (13) to join.

It is the year 2393, the end of the 24th Century. The Dominion War ended nearly twenty (20) years ago, and the Federation has begun the long process of rebuilding. Despite the travesty of it all, War is good for commerce. Goods in vast quantities or of large scale need to be transported here and there, and cargo freighter transfer is a booming business. There's credits to be made, if you're willing to spend some in return. All in all, the life on-board an every-day cargo freighter should be mundane.. right?

Captain C`Tasi Rssnai has taken ownership of a vessel registered as the SS Fawkes, an every-day Groumal-class freighter. Stolen from under the nose of a black-hearted half-Betazoid privateer, the SS Fawkes is hiding in plain sight from someone who should have been destroyed.. but was he? Coupled with the knowledge that there had been Starfleet personnel involved in espionage, Captain C`Tasi is doing her best to keep her head down and stay out of the limelight.

Under the company title of Phoenix Freight Transfer, her intentions are to make as much money as possible by any means necessary. Legitimate cargo? Possibly questionable merchandise? Kessel Run in twelve (12) parsecs? The SS Fawkes with Phoenix Freight Transfer is your choice for exceptional service.. For a price..

.:[Temporary Quarters]:.

Wivaneh was sitting in their small temporary quarters that they were forced to rent after being fired from their last job. Mind you it wasn't their fault that the captain of the freighter they worked on was a complete xenophobe and didn't want a former member of the…

The acrid smell of unwashed bodies, dirt and waste did it's best to cover the sweeter odor of blood that washed over C`Tasi's senses. Her nose she could trust to tell her what was around, but her vision was clouded from both pain and exhaustion. Hanging loosely in the holding…

Mission: Let's Kick this Pig

Tyler couldn't believe that she was a civilian again and was already signing up to get herself on another ship. Though currently stranded on the starbase with no other real place to go she didn't seem to have much choice. Starfleet had been exciting at first but then lately it…

::[SS Fawkes - Engineering Deck B, Waste Management]::

C`Tasi growled lowly as she knelt on the deck plating, the corrugated steel digging painfully into her knees as she worked with both arms stretched into an access panel. The Fawkes had been refit and was surely space-worthy, however there was always…

::[Dry Dock 7, SS Fawkes Berthing]::

The hussle and bussle of an active starbase dry dock was in full swing; foremen bellowed, yard workers moved hither and tither, and the constant hum of background activity was a cacophony of noise. Anyone who watched the activity could easily see the pattern…

Since the days of old, the Captains of masted ships on high seas have kept journals, logs, and diaries describing their exploits and adventures for later enjoyment. Even in current times, when water faring vessels are things of bygone times, ship Captains keep a log of some nature, though most…
